For the past few days, I have been scouring Pinterest and other inspiration blogs for Minnie Mouse birthday party ideas for my little Patty’s first birthday who is 10 months old today, by the way.
Our color motif for the party is pink, white and black. It’s not the bright or baby pink that I like. I want it more like the peachy kind of pink. So while browsing Pinterest for a peach themed party, I stumbled upon a couple of pins and saw how great peach looks with mint. Uh-oh, here I go again! This time, I should learn how to just stick to ONE theme and color motif. And so to somehow satisfy my fondness for anything peach and mint, I collected a few lovely photos and created mini mint and peach inspiration boards. 🙂
Mint and Peach is such a wonderful color combination. It is fun, sweet, chic, romantic, whimsical, classy and pretty among other things. It is a perfect color combination for daytime summer weddings, too! To start off, here are a few random mint and peach-colored things. Aren’t they just lovely? Yes?
A wedding or any other celebration isn’t one without a cake. Here are a few lovely finds. I am loving the mint ruffled cake with the giant peach peony! (Source)
Now on to reception styling and decor. I am not really a huge fan of DIY pinwheels, not until I saw this. Pinwheels when poorly done and with the wrong color combination can look tacky, but this mint and various shades of peach pinwheel backdrop is so pretty! I must learn how to make those kinds of pinwheels – the one with holes in it. 🙂 (Source)
Buntings are a different story. I personally like buntings, whether they are in a digital file like the ones you use when designing invitations or making a digital scrapbook or the tangible ones that you can hang because even when they are mismatched, they still look pretty. These peach and mint buntings are from Oh So Beautiful Paper.
The mint-colored mason jars gave a nice pop of color to the otherwise simple yet beautiful sea of white.
I haven’t really tasted french macarons, but with macarons these pretty, who would want to eat it? 🙂
I love, love, love flowers! Flowers can make you happy. They can brighten up any day. They are beautiful. This lovely bouquet is by Vatel Manila.
I loved Elie Saab’s Pink couture gowns before and there’s no reason not to love these mint and peach-colored gowns now. Just look, aren’t they gorgeous?
There you have it! Mint and peach is such a happy palette so I hope you enjoyed this post. Please watch out for my next post…it definitely pretty overload!
